Privacy Policy

Hotel Lobby AI Generator (hotellobbyaigenerator.org) is operated by Springtide Labs, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the service, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Account details. Your email address. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your Google profile name and profile picture.
• Your uploads. The video and face photos you upload to generate a video.
• Generated videos. The videos the service makes for you.
• Payment status. Stripe processes all payments. We receive the amount, the payment status and a transaction reference. We never see or store your card number.
• Safety records. When a request is refused under our Content Policy, we record the account, the time, which check refused it and why.
• Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site in aggregate, such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location.
• Logs. Our servers record technical data such as IP address, browser type, timestamps and errors.

How we use it

• To run the service: generate your video and let you download it.
• To check uploads for safety and enforce our Terms of Service and Content Policy.
• To manage your credits and payments.
• To send account emails, such as email verification and password resets.
• To answer reports, takedown requests and support messages.
• To keep the service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.
• To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it.
• To comply with the law.

We never use your uploads or generated videos to train AI models. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads.

How long we keep it

Who processes your data

We use a small number of service providers, each only for the job it does for us:

• cloud hosting, database and file storage providers, which run the service and hold your files until they are deleted;
• third-party AI providers, which receive your uploads only to check them for safety and to generate your video;
• Stripe, which processes payments;
• an email delivery provider, which sends account emails;
• Google, if you choose Google sign-in, and for Google Analytics.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect someone from harm, or to report content that sexualizes minors to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement. If our business is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

Biometric information notice and consent

This section applies to everyone, and in particular to residents of Illinois (Biometric Information Privacy Act, or BIPA), Texas and Washington, whose laws regulate biometric identifiers such as face geometry.

• What we do with face images. We process face images only transiently, and only to generate the video you request. Our AI providers use them for that purpose alone. Before generation, an automated safety check also reviews your photos and video frames for content we refuse, such as nudity or minors. It does not identify anyone.
• No face templates. We do not create or keep face templates (sometimes called faceprints) or any other biometric identifiers, and we do not use face images to identify anyone.
• No selling. We do not sell, lease, trade or otherwise profit from biometric identifiers or biometric information.
• Retention and destruction schedule. We permanently delete source photos and videos within 24 hours of upload. This is our written retention and destruction policy, and it is well within the deadlines these laws set.
• Your consent. Before each generation, you tick a consent box. By doing so and uploading, you give your written consent to this processing of your own face. You also confirm that you have told every other person shown about this notice and have their written consent, which can be electronic. If you do not have that consent, do not upload.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.

To make a request, use the takedown form, choose "Other", and use the email address on your account so we can confirm it is you. We answer within the time the law requires. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The service is only for adults 18 and older. We refuse uploads that show minors. If we learn that we hold personal information about a child, we delete it.

International transfers

We are based in the United States. Your information is processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws from yours.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and automatic deletion to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, give notice through the service.
